Years of Expertise

Emily Priestaf, LPC, LMHC, MT-BC, started her career as a board-certified music therapist in 2011 and went on to get her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling & Music Therapy from Lesley University. She’s is proud to have provided therapy services in a variety of settings (inpatient, day treatment, outpatient, residential, and school-based).

Since 2018, Emily’s practice has focused on providing individual therapy to older teens, young adults, and adults.

Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC 7199-125) in Wisconsin, Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC LH60848378) in the state of Washington, and Board Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC #09738)

Areas of Practice

Emily’s treatment approach combines person-centered, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and creative arts modalities. You are an individual and know yourself best, so she is able to tailor options for how you can work based upon what you are hoping to focus on for goals.

Years of Growth

One of Emily’s values is growth. Continuing to learn and grow as a therapist (and a human!) allows her to keep offering up-to-date, evidenced-based therapy practices for her clients.

Outside of therapy, Emily enjoys reading (a prolific amount) , exercising (walking, running, yoga, chasing and wrestling my kids), baking/cooking, camping (thus all the outdoor pictures) and trying to find moderation in all of the above.
